The Waterboys have several albums and singles to their credit. The group’s achievements received a good reception from critics, although their first opuses had less commercial success than their contemporaries. In terms of chart placement, the band’s biggest success was the 1991 re-release of their single The Whole of the Moon, which reached number three in the UK and received the Ivor Novello Award. Fisherman’s Blues was their biggest-selling studio album, reaching number thirteen in the UK charts upon its release in 1988.
