All works of art, and art in general, are enigmas. The fact that the works say something and at the same time hide it places the enigmatic character under the aspect of language. The typical example of this is that, above all other arts, of music, which is both an enigma and a very obvious thing. There is no need to solve it, it is only a matter of deciphering its structure.
