Jochen Cerny

Jochen Cerny was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. He inherited his artistic talent from his grandfather who was passionate about black and white photography. After his studies, he made his first attempts to become a professional photographer but ultimately chose a career as an investment banker in New York, London and Frankfurt. He rediscovered his passion for the art of photography after meeting one of the most famous photographers in the world, Andreas Gursky. Today, Jochen Cerny’s style is characterized by his perfect CMPB technique to offer a unique art form of photography by manipulating the colors of the object without distorting it.

His recent works represent an evolution in digital photography and a new art form. His photographs do not intend to tell a story, but rather to bring more shine to the object. His work is partly influenced by the Düsseldorf school of photography, but above all by his own idiosyncratic style centered on color and object. His exhibitions have met with great success in various galleries in Germany, London and Hong Kong, where his work has been enthusiastically received by art collectors and photography enthusiasts.
